Development Application Approval

We are thrilled to share the news that the development application (DA) for the proposed boutique hotel at Wallcliffe House was approved by the Joint Development Assessment Panel on 28th March 2024. 

The five-member panel, consisting of three DAP members and two elected representatives from the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River, approved the development application following presentations from our team and other parties.

Property owner Alexandra Burt said, “I am delighted that we have reached this significant milestone. The development of Wallcliffe House will unlock new tourism potential through our offering of deep connection to place, to craft and to community in our high-end and elegantly designed setting. It has been a lengthy and diligent process, and we are grateful to the Shire Officers, Councillors, DAP Members and many other key stakeholders for their patient engagement and assistance during this process.”
